Learn to Skate
at Parade this winter in our  Learn-to-Skate classes. Classes start Saturday January 10th, 2009, with a choice of Tues., Thurs. or Sat classes with sessions for different skating levels, including adults.  In addition we will be offering group Freestyle  FS1-5 classes Saturday mornings on the South Rink.  New in 2008-2009 Super Tots Playground on Ice will be offered on Thursday mornings starting at 10:00 am.  This consists of basic skating lessons plus Games on Ice and the opportunity for our Super Tots to also enjoy an interactive skate with a parent, guardian or significant other. Winter Super Tot classes start Jan  15!

The Snow Daze winter exhibition will be held on Saturday January 10, 2008 starting at 11:45 am until 1pm.  There is a sign up sheet posted at Parade Ice Garden, along the glass of the South Rink.

The next ISI test session at Parade is scheduled for Saturday January 17. Please talk to your coach about signing up for this test session.  This will be the test session that will determine your skating level for the Parade Blades of March competition and is the last day for turning in your completed Blades of March forms to your coach to give to Raleigh Weld, the Parade team liaison for this competition.

(The SQSA Spring contract will be posted in mid to late January. Spring SQSA contract ice starts March 1, 2009.)
2008-2009 PFSC ice contract form and volunteer form now available.  It is not to late to sign up for a PFSC ice contract.  We can pro-rate your contract cost between now and the end of the season in April.  Please note: you must complete an Emergency Contact form and turn it in with your ice contract.  The Emergency Contact form is included in the Joint Membership form

Starlight Ice Dance Club 2008-2009 Membership form for skaters competing in USFS events.

Synchronized Skating information and forms for 2008-2009  There are some changes this year -- please read the information.

Maria Kalina took 1st place in  the Intermediate Ladies Division Qualifying Round Group A at USFS Junior National Figure Skating Championships  in Lake Placid NY.  She advanced to skate the Short Program in the Championship Round  on 12/12 and placed 6th.  On Sat 12/13, she competed in the Championship round Free Skate, and placed 5th.  This gave Maria a combined placement of 4th, and the pewter medal.  Congratulations Maria!

Kirsten Olson placed 3rd (3rd SP, 3rd FS) in the Junior Ladies event at the USFS Midwestern Sectional Championship in Sugar Land TX,  at the competition which ended Nov 15, 2008,  and advances to the USFS National Championships, Cleveland OH,  Jan 18-25, 2009. Good Luck Kirsten!
